With the assistance of Dr Steven McCulloch and myself, our recent MSc Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law graduate Shannon Rivera has just successfully published her MSc dissertation work in Animals. Based on interviews with 18 professionals working within conservation, wildlife crime, and confiscated live animal management, it explores the fates of confiscated illegally-traded wild animals in South East Asia. We then provide a series of recommendations to support their humane management after seizure.
